Food Manager Training
The Hill County Extension Office will be having a 2-Day Food Manager Certification Training. The class will be held June 29 & 30, 2017 at the Lake Whitney Library, the cost for the class will be $125.00 Registration deadline is Wednesday, June 14th. Step Up Scale Down
Step Up & Scale Down is a 12 week educational program based on the USDA 2010 Dietary Guidelines which is intended to help Americans choose a healthful eating plan within their calorie requirements to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. The Dietary Guidelines provide sound scientific information about how proper dietary habits can promote health and reduce risk for major chronic diseases.
Cook and Carry
Cook and Carry is a Texas A&M AgriLife program that eliminates the “what’s for dinner?” dilemma from your hectic schedule. This program will provide participants with hands-on preparation of Three take home, freezer-ready main dishes for easy bake-and-eat meals that will feed a family of six.
